Research Specialties
Surficial Processes, Soils, Wetland Delineation

My research interests include Quaternary and glacial geology, soils and paleosols, mapping (both traditional and GIS), Indiana geology, and geomorphology. I also provide field support and maintenance of web resources. I enjoy speaking to K-12 classes about earth science as part of our outreach efforts.  I have been teaching at the college levels since the fall of 1989.  I was appointed co-advisor for the BSES program in 2009.

• Determining the role of soils and moisture regime on riparian reforestation
• Characterization of sediments in alluvial floodplain and determination of groundwater source of fen at Scott Starling Nature Sanctuary
