Geologist/Hydrogeologist

  Qualifications:

  • Minimum B.S. (M.S. preferred) in geology or hydrogeology with a minimum of 6-20 years experience in the environmental consulting field;
  • Licensed professional in Indiana preferred;
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with Indiana and Federal regulatory programs (i.e., RCRA, CERCLA, State Cleanup, and voluntary remedial programs), and due diligence;
  • Strong consulting experience in the Midwest is a must, particularly in Indiana;
  • Ability to scope and implement complex hydrogeological investigations;
  • Ability to evaluate, quantitatively interpret and report data;
  • Knowledge of groundwater remedial systems and the process of identifying, designing, and implementation of these systems;
  • Strong project management and personnel management skills;
  • Positive attitude, energy, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication with ability to prepare and review detailed reports and work plans;
  • Ability to present technical information in a concise and professional manner;
  • Willingness to travel based on project demands;
  • Self‑starter, flexible, team player, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimum supervision;
  • Ability to obtain and develop clients;
  • Current 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER training;
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and hydrogeological interpretation software; and
  • Authorization for permanent, full-time employment in the United States.

Duties:

  • Quantitative hydrogeological data evaluation;
  • Management of environmental remediation projects including, but not limited to, technical development of project Work Plans and reports, project coordination including tracking of budgets and schedules, staffing and allocation of resources, contractor liaison, and representation at meetings with clients and agencies;
  • Preparation of correspondence, technical reports, presentations, and work plans;
  • Responsible for field implementation of work plans;
  • Communication with regulatory personnel and clients;
  • Supervision and mentoring of field staff, junior staff geologists, and technicians; and
  • Contractor liaison.
