MS Graduate Research Assistantships
Starting Summer 2009

The Department of Earth Sciences at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) invites applications for several full-time MS Graduate Research Assistant positions starting in summer 2009 to work on a recently funded USDA-CSREES project investigating greenhouse gas emissions from riparian zones across a regional hydrogeomorphic gradient. We seek highly motivated students with excellent skills in hydrology and biogeochemistry. Research interests should include riparian zone hydrology, biogeochemistry and/or soil-atmosphere interactions. IUPUI is a research-intensive urban university with almost 30,000 students located on a beautiful downtown campus. We offer competitive scholarships, paid tuition, and medical insurance. To initiate the application procedure, send a letter of interest including your academic background (an informal transcript is ideal) and research interests to Dr. Philippe Vidon  (pvidon@iupui.edu) or Dr. Pierre-André Jacinthe (pjacinth@iupui.edu). More information concerning the program can be found at www.earthsciences.iupui.edu.
